I had never heard of it until I was reading about the death of cinema, tonight.

It seems to be an odd combination of reality television show and drama.

I’ll let you know what it’s like when I watch the whole thing.

The Mayfair Set is a rather incredible and overlooked film by the great filmmaker Alan Curtis.

It looks at how, for want of a better phrase, The remnants of the British Empire post-WWII were privatised by the same old boys club who had run it before hand.

So Art Pope (Who originally I thought was a Pope of Art who had appointed himself to declaim on all things in the art world until a friend informed me otherwise) seems to be the motherfucker of the moment, buying North Carolina and making it his own fiefdom.

This is not good, right? 

People should be fighting, right?

Is this happening anywhere else?

Are we all fucked?

I think people like him have always been doing stuff like this. Maybe it’s just more obvious now and maybe people just don’t care enough.
