He wakes up. He hallucinates the first hour which involves breakfast and something about the Illuminati and a shower then he wakes up again and he is late for work. He misses the bus. No one notices he was not there when he gets in or if they notice they don’t care. The violence in Turkey is increasing although there are probably plenty of people in Turkey who are just getting on with their day neither the recipients nor the victims of direct state suppression. There are suicide bombs in Afghanistan, social activists who want to launch a clown cavalcade in London against the G8 who are on roofs of houses being bundled by the police into what look like comedy rugs but are probably some hi tech restraints designed by Halliburton or James Dyson and then there is the simulated violence of E3 and the Ever Important Console War even as a real war for freedom goes on in Turkey and a real war on privacy has been won by the authorities in America and even as he really thinks he should stop trolling for sex on the internet because if he ever wants to become a respectable public figure he will never become a respectable public figure because his browsing history will be sold to the highest bidder and he will in no time at all become a side show in the Carnival of Politics but he does not want to be that kind of public figure or any kind of public figure at all so he is probably going to be okay. He trolls for porn and No Strings Attached and Friends with Benefits but he as always ends up with bots filling his inbox and there are always strings attached even if they are puppet strings and a friend with benefits is a friend who will listen to you and who will sympathise and empathise and sometimes hate your choices but be your friend anyway a friend with benefits is a friend that is the definition of friend. Then he goes home and he doesn’t remember the day and he plays cats cradle with a small child and runs around laughing with another smaller child and then he walks to the bus stop and there are no glow bugs tonight which makes him a little sad but the air is hot and pleasant and he cannot listen or watch MSNBC because they are trying to in very subtle ways denigrate Edward Snowden and maybe he should be denigrated but they are doing it in such a sideways manner that it disgusts him. Then he eats some yoghurt and talks with a friend and reads some more of The New Digital Age and Cypherpunks both of which continue to terrify him and then he draws a picture of the Arizona Desert and then he goes to sleep.
